Dear High Street Family,

As we've begun to share our new ministry vision and sermon series, Catching God’s Momentum, I’m already hearing and seeing excitement and energy from our church and beyond.

Individuals outside of our church are approaching me saying, “I’m hearing really exciting things are going on at High Street!”

Members and attenders saying, “We really sense God moving,” and “This is a new era,” and “God is here!”

And there really is a palpable sense of God’s felt-presence as He is welcomed and moving in our services. We're seeing Him available in our meetings, empowering our staff, guiding our ministries, and moving throughout the life of our church.

And it's just beginning. We need to continue to make room for Him and prioritize His presence.

And, to tell the truth, my own heart is alive and brimming with wonderful encouragement from friends, family, our church, and a host of other believers at the Installation Service last Sunday. I am truly expectant of what our God wants to do in and through us.

Isaiah 43:19 is the theme for Catching God’s Momentum, it reads,

“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?

I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”

Here and now, God is calling us to pay attention, to listen to His heart, to notice the ways He’s been active (even in the last season of transition). To realign, reassess, and open ourselves to God's movement. And as a church, to raise our sails and  “catch the wind” of His Spirit together.

God, give us Your Spirit of discernment and bravery as we adventure into new seasons with You! Amen.
