Kids Ministry

Our aim is to help our children connect with God, learn more about Him and His story, and respond to Him through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Your Whole Family Has a Place Here

During the 9:30 AM service, we offer Childcare (1-4 yrs) as well as an Elementary Program (K-6th grade), both of which occur in our Kids Ministry Building. We also have tables in the sanctuary with art supplies and other activities for kids who decide to stay for the main service. If you need some extra space, we have a family room located near the front lobby where you can listen to the service in comfort. It has rocking chairs, a changing table, and some toys for your little ones. We hope your whole family feels welcome here at High Street Community Church.

Your child’s safety—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—is important to us. All of our leaders and volunteers are background checked and have gone through child safety training.

What is Godly Play Curriculum?

Children from an early age can develop a meaningful connection with God. The Godly Play approach equips them, both through story and play, as they begin to explore their relationship with Him. Based on Montessori principles, Godly Play employs a type of spiral curriculum designed to not only build upon, but also deepen kids’ understanding of Bible stories over time. The Godly Play model best serves children from early-to-late childhood, and potentially beyond, as it is a powerful and unique vehicle for wonder and growth as kids come to know Jesus personally.

To that end, we’ve incorporated Godly Play into our Sunday Elementary Program.

If you would like for your child to join the Kids Ministry at High Street, you can register them for either our Childcare or Elementary programs at our campus on Sundays. We’d love for them to join us!

We are also always welcoming new volunteers to join our teaching teams in Kids Ministry. If you are at all interested, please take a look at our New Volunteer Form below. We’d love to have you on our team!
