Transforming Despair

This past Sunday’s message on the Father’s Faithfulness has been really helpful for me. I’ve since gone back to the scriptures to be reminded of those powerful truths. I’d like to just present them to us one more time—would you pause and soak in this passage and see what the Lord might remind you to see again?

When we have our minds fixed on God, as we pair waiting with seeking, then we can see despair turn into hope.

Consider this passage below and listen to the Lord…

Lamentations 3:19-25

19 Remember my affliction and my wanderings,
the wormwood and the gall!

20 My soul continually remembers it
and is bowed down within me.

21 But this I call to mind,
and therefore I have hope:

22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;[a]
his mercies never come to an end;

23 they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.

24 “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“therefore I will hope in him.”

25 The Lord is good to those who wait for him
to the soul who seeks him.
