Hearing The Song
If someone put the story of your life to music, what would it sound like?
Would there be high dancing violins in one season?
Would there be a low, calm cello in another?
Would there be hammering drums, like a war?
Or brave French horns championing your stride?
Or maybe, for some, your life would wail electric guitar, crunching and distorted?
Or perhaps your song would be a melodic whisper in the quiet corner of the stage?
Check out last Sunday’s sermon “One Shape, Three Sides” from our series, The Shape of our Story
As you listen, imagining the song of your life, is there a repeating melody?
A harmony?
An echo?
Are there subtle undertones?
A song beneath your song?
A deeper theme?
What might others hear from the song of your life?
The Shape of your Story….
“I pray that the light of God will illuminate the eyes of your imagination, flooding you with light, until you experience the full revelation of the hope of his calling —that is, the wealth of God’s glorious inheritances that he finds in us, his holy ones!”
Well, this Sunday we’ll be diving into one aspect of “The Shape of Jesus’ Story,” that he lived and ministered In the marketplace, in the public square, in the real lives of common and ordinary people like us.
See you Sunday!
