Embracing God’s Rescue
I’m excited to join you in worshiping and serving the Lord these next three Sundays. I first met Dave and Keri Lippman at a Mount Hermon writers retreat five years ago and was deeply blessed by their Soul Care ministry, so when Dave invited me to speak, I was thrilled to say yes.
During my seminary studies, I became fascinated by what has become my favorite rescue story in the New Testament: the demon-possessed man known as “Legion.” It may sound dark and scary on the surface, but as we dive into this action-packed story, we’ll discover it’s anything but.
This Sunday, I’ll begin a three-part series, Stronger Than the Storm, exploring the victory we have through Christ, who conquered sin, Satan, and death. No matter how things look on the outside, it’s not over — God’s Word assures us that “he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” (1 John 4:4)
