God is Moving
As we approach the last sermon of our I Speak Jesus series (click here for a playlist of our I Speak Jesus sermon series), I’m aware of how tender, powerful, and relevant this season with Jesus has been for us amid transitions, discernment, and growing faith for the next season...
We began with journeying with Jesus to the cross watching as He laid His life down, confronted the powers of darkness, and loved each person until the end. We felt the finality of His words, “It is finished.”
As you traveled with Jesus toward His death, what has the Holy Spirit been speaking to you?
Alongside the disciples, we were co-witnesses to His resurrection, baffled with them as we began to see afresh who our Jesus really is. God carried their losses, sins, griefs, and burdens, and in Him, resurrected our symptoms of death into new life.
As you witnessed Jesus’ resurrection, what has the Holy Spirit been speaking to you?
And we stared in awe with the disciples as the Lord ascended into the clouds and they returned in worship and prayer, expectant for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, “the promise of the Father” for all who believe…
And we felt His power, as the sound of wind filled their house and tongues of fire rested on their heads—as all were filled with the Holy Spirit and testified to the nations of Jesus, the King.
As you wondered at the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, what has been stirring in you?
My heart feels the momentum of what we’ve soaked in. We have the One who has done everything to make His power and presence readily available to us.
What will happen next? What are you wanting from Jesus?
Take a moment to share this with Him now.
I’ll see you Sunday, as we conclude I Speak Jesus and anticipate God's movement in our upcoming series on our vision for the year: Catching God's Momentum!
