A Good Confession

This Sunday we are planning on a “Good Confession” service inspired by Nehemiah 9.

The service will be interspersed with worship and prayer.

Prepare your hearts to be encouraged through confession, forgiveness, and of course the joy of the Lord.

BEGINNING

We will begin the service singing 3 hymns praising God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit as a good confession of who God is.

We often think confession is mainly about our offenses against God, but a good confession begins with God first. Confessing His love, power, forgiveness, and healing.

NEXT

Next we will continue the good confession by remembering many of the blessings God has given to our church over the years. We will share with one another at our round tables and a few up front.

CONCLUDE

We will conclude our time with personal and corporate confession of sin by writing them on sticky notes that we will attach to the cross, and then partake in communion together.
