As I pray and prepare for the sermons in our Abundant Life series, I’m aware of the Presence of God uniquely pressing upon me as I ponder these wonderful, powerful revelations of His Heart.

And this makes me expectant for God's heart to be poured out in fresh ways upon us who've known Him for years, and on those who don't even know Him at all...

The goal of this Abundant Life series is to shift our mindsets.

To change where we set our minds.

In order that Jesus' statement, “I have come that they may have life and life abundantly,” wouldn’t just be a nice sentiment we say on Sundays...

Or a mere hope for a future faith...

Or just a hope of heaven...

But a promise of God's nature that begins operating on a deep level in our minds and hearts..

A revelation of the reality of God’s love, power and resources that shifts our mindsets.

A potentiality, a new reality in our relationship with Jesus...that makes us suddenly aware.

  • What is stealing life?

  • What is cutting our life short?

  • What is corrupting the innocence and purity in our life?

And that He plans to pour His Life in new and unique ways into the lack, into the holes, in all the areas where the thief has wounded us:

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” John 10:10

Watch Last Sunday’s sermon, “God is Our Life - From Lack to Abundance” from our Abundant Life series.

This Sunday we’ll be soaking in the revelation that “God is Holy” and that means He can and does wash away all our uncleanness. The revelation of God’s holiness is a profound and foundational reality of the Christian life, and one that beckons us into an encounter with Him.

And, I’m anticipating that God is going to make a fresh-washing available to all of us who need a cleansing of sin, suffering, hidden faults, and the wear and tear of being in a weary world. Lord Jesus, thank you, come meet us this Sunday, Amen.

See you soon,

Pastor Dave
