The Grow

Dear HSCC Family,

As most of you know we are enjoying the delight of being first time grandparents.  It seems each time we see our sweet Rosemary, she’s grown and changed.  She has grown in size, awareness and cuteness.  :)

What if each time we saw someone they remarked how much we’ve grown spiritually?!!  How would they notice?  Wouldn’t you be delighted in that kind of comment?

One of the key elements of our church in the coming ministry year is the GROW.  We are asking the Lord to shape us into the likeness of His Son Jesus.  We believe walking in the fundamentals of the faith (like worship, prayer, study, service, fellowship) as well as in the freedom of just being ourselves in the Spirit are how we grow the best.  (see Galatians 5:1,25)  As we grow spiritually in Jesus, we have more to give away to people and draw others to Jesus and the church will grow numerically as well.  Healthy things grow and produce fruit. 

As the Lord builds our church, enjoy the journey with one another.  May you receive mercy and find grace from the Lord in your time of need. (Heb 4:16).
