Dear High Street Family,

Wow, thank you all for your sweet gifts and celebration at the shower two Sundays ago! Who would’ve known our babies would arrive that very morning?! And that Hopie’s birthday party would also be our twins’ birthday too!

We were sad to miss out, but love that you all still celebrated, and it meant so much to hear echoes of the excitement and receive such generous and thoughtful gifts and cards.

Despite our babies’ early arrival and facing weeks ahead in the NICU,
we’ve witnessed a host of miraculous details surrounding their birth and experienced such peace and assurance of God’s hand over their lives.

We speak over them that God knew even these early, fragile days:
“In Your book were written all the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there was not one of them.” (Psalms 139:16)

Even still, we’ve had waves of emotion over the last two weeks, from being discharged from the hospital late at night and leaving our babies in their care, to helping Hopie understand why her brother and sister aren’t coming home yet, to our own juggling of multiple hours, days and nights, full of drives to the hospital to hold these treasures, making sure they feel and know how loved they are by us and most importantly by their Heavenly Father.

These early months are so formative, and so we’ve been praying:

  • That the Lord would plant seeds of hope and restoration in the soils of their early experiences.

  • That the Lord would repay and restore these uncomfortable weeks and months for them,

  • That these first moments would set the trajectory for their depth of faith, wisdom, prayer, healing and favor with God and others.

We find ourselves singing over them, praying wordless prayers, thanking God for their health, interceding for their futures, and praying things like, Lord, we do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.” (2 Chronicles 20:12).

God has orchestrated so many miracles to bring these little ones into the world, and we’re standing in faith and inviting you all to intercede with us for them for God’s Life to flow in full over and through them and to bless them (as our “double blessing” from Isaiah 61:7) beyond all they can imagine as they endure this fragile time, held by us and God’s Arms of Love.

We’re thanking God for healthy mom and healthy steps forward for our babies. And Keri, Hope and I couldn’t be more pleased to share with you all the amazing news of our two new little ones, join us in celebrating the births of…

Emmalyn “Emma” Rose Lippman - born 3:41 am - 4.7 lbs

     And

Peter David Lippman - born 3:54 am - 4.12 lbs

We’re praising God for these little loves and hope you join us in welcoming our two new little ones into our church family!

    Praise Jesus!

    Pastor Dave

PS. Also, with our kiddos in the NICU our next weeks and months forward are a huge learning process for us, so would invite you to learn with us, flex with us, and continue in expectancy for God to move powerfully in our congregation and community!

He’s already done amazing work through the preaching and leading of Daniel Burchell and Joe Strock. (Watch their sermons and services again by clicking on their names above!)

May He expand and establish, what HE has started, and what HE will carry into completion! Let’s watch Him move.
