The whole world is God’s kingdom, and we enjoyed having four emissaries of God’s love, three students who came from Nigeria, South Korea, Madagascar, and a missionary working in Nepal and Myanmar. As they spoke, we could hear how they honor God by pursuing their educational goals—cultural history via archeology to increase historical awareness and pride; developmental economics to raise the infrastructure and opportunities for the poor; championing fishing methods and protection of fisheries for the Malagasy; and creating homes for orphaned children in Nepal and Myanmar and teaching the Bible to Nepalese Christian leaders so that they may go out and teach.

A great thank you to Peggy Pollard for her work with I.S.I. and bringing us the three students!

A few things we can follow up in prayer:

For Bolu and his wife:  Prayer for Bolu and his wife as they are expecting a baby in late April.  Also, Nigeria has internal violence and division along both ethnic and religious lines, and has continued kidnapping and violence. Prayer for cessation of violence and reconciliation.

From YoungWoo:  If there's a thing I could add and request a prayer - regarding "Christianity in Korea" – it would be about "Two Koreas." Every time one hears/watches any news about North Korea, it's easy to miss/forget about people who are there. There are many populations, including underground churches, who are really struggling under dictatorship. It is somewhat surprising that before the Korean war (1950-53), the majority of Korean Christians were in the North part. And also one of the greatest historical events in Korean Christianity is the "Pyeongyang Revival of 1907"

For Ando and family: Prayer for Ando’s work for protection of the Madagascar’s bio-diversity, bio-uniqueness, and natural resources, for her husband and son. Madagascar is a poor country, with 92% of the people living in poverty. Additionally, the fisheries off Madagascar, on which many Malagasy are reliant, have been damaged both by climate change and by modern large vessel fishing fleets.

For Silas and Child Hope Nepal: for continued and increasing support, for willing families to adopt orphans in Nepal and Myanmar, and the safety of all with Child Hope.
