Sabbath With Jesus
These past few weeks have certainly gone by quickly. I’ve been deeply blessed by our time together and have enjoyed getting to know many of you these past two Sundays.
This Sunday we dive into our final session, “Celebrating God’s Reign” as we wrap up our 3-part series, Stronger Than the Storm, based on the man rescued from the legion of demons.
Last week, we reflected on God’s beautiful gift of Sabbath rest. So many of you shared with me afterwards how much you needed that reminder (as I do). With that in mind, I thought you might enjoy this PDF download of “Sabbath Tips,” which is taken directly from the last pages of my LEGION Bible Study. I pray it blesses you!
I look forwarding to celebrating Christ’s coming kingdom with you this Sunday.

At the end of the story of the man with the Legion, Jesus tells the man, “Go home to your friends and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you” (Mark 5:19).
What did Jesus equip the man with before sending him back home as His witness? Circle one.
-theological training
-masterful preaching
-a changed life
What is the one most powerful asset God has equipped you with in order to be His witness?
To whom can you reach out to “tell how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you”?
Spend some time with God in prayer, asking Him to reveal whom He is calling you to share your story with. Write a prayer of commitment as He leads you.
Bonus Questions:
As Christians, all of us will experience times when we come under attack—whether through:
-persecution (2 Cor. 4:8–10; Luke 6:27–36)
-temptation (James 1:12–15)
-testing (Luke 22:31–32).
In these times, if your thoughts are anchored on the truths that God is sovereign and Satan is doomed,
what impact might it have on:
-Your prayer life?
-Your outlook in this situation?
-Your walk with God?
-Your witness as a Christ-follower?
Write a prayer of gratitude as God leads you.
