New Beginnings
God is always doing a new thing. A little over a decade ago He brought Danny to High Street. Danny shepherded and loved us well. Danny is always listening to God. He followed God’s leading in coming and in leaving. He left a spiritually healthy church ready for what God has next for us.
Over the better part of a year, we have been on a journey with God and with each other. We have been waiting and trusting God to provide a new Lead Pastor. We waited and trusted individually, in small groups, and as a church body.
God led us to a pastor who was already among us; a pastor who worked with Danny and knows High Street, a pastor who has been ministered to and has ministered to this church. God led us to Dave Lippman. Dave loves Jesus with his whole being. He loves this church, and all the people God has called here. He passionately desires to see High Street become all that God intends us to be. He accepted the call to be our Lead Pastor with a strong sense of calling and with great joy, energy and enthusiasm.
We are thankful for each of you and how you navigated this transitional time with us. We are thankful for your prayers, patience, and participation. We are thankful God led us to call Dave to be our next Lead Pastor.
God never does anything the same way twice. The path we followed over the last year was unpredictable and had God’s fingerprints all over it. Now, we are looking forward to God moving among us and in this community as we welcome Dave Lippman into the pastorate.
Is 43:18 Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
