Hello HSCC,

Watermelon Tacos are now a “thing”.  This past Sunday we heard about Jesus telling the disciples, “YOU give them something to eat” when they found themselves with thousands of hungry people in the countryside just before dark.  After some fumbling around, they shared what they had with Jesus and He multiplied it to everyone’s satisfaction.

Maria was giddy on our drive home at how great the taco feast turned out.  “There were just the right amount of beans, meats, lettuce, tomatoes, salsas, cheeses, rice…”.  Yes we joked about not having enough ingredients..., as it turned out, the watermelon taco was just for laughs (thank you Laura Gaskell).

Let’s remember this—none of us on our own has enough, or is enough…we need the grace and provision of the Lord to complete us and all He is calling us to do and be.  Offer to God whatever you have, and TRUST that He will miraculously provide and satisfy.  We are the body of Christ on earth and He gives us the breath of life.

FYI, this coming Sunday we welcome back Dawn Lindholm to preach the next “Meal with Jesus” about Mary and Martha in Luke 10.   Dawn is a solid bible teacher and I’d consider her an expert on Women in the Gospels.   No need to bring food this coming Sunday, but if you do, I’m sure it will be eaten. July 16th is our next potluck Sunday.

God Bless you all as we follow Jesus together,

Pastor Danny
